Creamy Southwest Dressing
Ingredients
- 24 ounces cottage cheese, low fat
- 16 ounces salsa of your choice I used medium heat
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp ground chipotle this is totally optional…smoked Spanish paprika is another option
- 1 tsp Frank’s hot sauce
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Put all of the ingredients into a 4 cup glass measuring cup or larger and blend until smooth with an immersion blender OR use a regular blender.
- Taste for seasonings and add additional if needed.
Notes
This makes a FULL quart and a mason jar works great for storing!
Remember to make it your OWN…experiment with spices!

I never thought of cottage cheese for dressing. I don’t have a hand blender like that, but I do have a food processor that would probably work!!

Have a Tip for you! Norwex Counter Cloth is PERFECT to put in salad ingredients to extend the shelf life. I’ve had spinach lasting way past its shelf life just by simply placing the Counter Cloth in with the produce. I purchased this spinach on 3/21 and it’s still great

I must tell you, after getting a bottle of Green Dagon hot sauce that you told us about, I shared some with some of my neighbors here in my little complex, and now a bunch of them are hooked. I think Trade Joe’s is now having a run on Green Dragon Hot Sauce
